![]() Then you bounce Cryptid (refunding 4pp), and play a second Hozumi (either from hand or by bouncing her). The other common-ish Hozumi list uses Wind Fairy, Deepwood Wolf, Woodland Pest Control/Silence Suzuka, and Cryptid Keeper. Despite this, sometimes your opponent just won’t draw what they need, and it can steal games readily enough. Any kind of damage mitigation or effects that lower followers’ attack shuts down the combo, as can having more than 2 wards. ![]() It is fairly simple to play, but the trade-off is being much more susceptible to disruption. The first, and most common, uses Cynthia, Omnis, Lymaga, and Wind Fairy to OTK the opponent with exactly 20 damage. Hozumi continues to be the strongest deck in the class and one of the strongest in the game, with the ability to win as early as turn 4 thanks to Garuel, Seraphic Leo. Nothing has changed substantially for Arisa. Atomy specialist Aifelse has been messing around with an updated neutral version of Masquerade Ghost Atomy, incorporating the powerful neutral package, which is good into Heal Haven and Dirt Rune.įrom the Youtuber sphere, this time there is Aggro Ghost Shadow, a Last Words list using Shuten-Doji and Rulenye, and a Control Shadow deck. Other Atomy variants are still playable, but are a little less consistent at popping off that Neutral. In fact, some players have gone as far to cut Coffin of the Unknown Soul! Initially, many lists used Flame and Glass, Duality, or Zeus to add more damage, though those have mostly been cut. Neutral Atomy cuts all Shadow followers outside of Spirit Eater, Atomy, and Colonel, letting you tutor them more consistently with Demonic Procession. While Masquerade Ghost was the main build last expansion, Colonel’s power has led to a new build that terrorizes the ladder: Neutral Atomy Colonel allows Atomy to OTK as early as turn 4, provided you can add 2 damage (either with chip or by using an Evo point). In this case, Abyssal Colonel is everything Atomy needed: an aggressively statted Storm follower with a 2pp crystallize. ![]() Class Analysis and DecklistsĪtomy is back, baby! It’s crazy how much impact a single card can have. That hasn’t stopped some from trying, and there are some fun decks to playokay, just not as many as in some other expansions. With the top decks being able to win as early as turn 4, there isn’t much breathing room for memes. Rally Sword is playable, but suffers from only being able to tech for a limited number of matchups, without being able to take on the whole field. Discard Dragon is still Rowan’s best hope, but its not consistent enough to contend with the speed of this meta (though it may be tier 2.5 and not truly in tier 3). I also think Resonance Portal belongs here sure, it has a similar game plan to Dirt Rune and is worse at it, but it isn’t horrible to play and seems pretty okay. Dimension Shift lands here as well, though if Heal Haven sees an increase in play, Shift is the natural counter and may rise in playrate. The new cards from Adzvaldt have given Wrath more juice, and it is generally the better of the two (and certainly the most popular). Tier 2 is the home of both Blood’s aggressive archetypes: Wrath, and Handless. Heal Haven seems underplayed at the moment, as it has the tools to beat every other tier 1 deck – provided, of course, that it draws the right cards in the right order. Dirt Rune received another nice card in Ultramarine Witch and remains a jack of all trades. Hozumi Forest is still able to win on turn 4, and this incredible speed keeps it in Tier 1. The other best decks are the same as in post-mini Dragonblade. ![]() In the early days, Atomy was the most popular deck by far, but it has retreated back to more manageable numbers. The major exception to this is Atomy Shadow, where Abyssal Colonel has propelled the undead king to the top. The meta is generally the same as in Celestial Dragonblade, with most decks getting sidegrades or minor cards if anything. I ended up taking a break for most of Godwyrm and all of Celestial Dragonblade sometimes you just get burned out, y’know? But I’m playing again and more importantly enjoying it again, so you should expect reports on a semi-regular basis (mostly depending on the JCG schedule). Hello everyone and welcome to the first Unlimited Report for Eightfold Abyss Azvaldt! This report was made by looking at the tier lists of sites like Gamewith and Shadowverse-Unlimited, lists posted on Twitter and Shadowverse-Wins, discussions on the Shadowverse Discord, my own personal experience climbing, and Youtube creators like Loran Cleric, Yoshihara, and Zenon.
